D.J.Wear & Associates Pty Ltd was founded in July 1998. The company specialises in property and asset management for individuals and private sector corporations and is located at level 6, 350 Kent Street Sydney, New South Wales.

The company manages commercial, industrial and retail properties ranging from Newcastle in the North and Homebush Bay in the South. These managed properties in the portfolio vary in size up to 36,800 square metres and encompasses Sydney CBD properties some of which are listed by the National Trust, the Heritage Council.

The company, a niche player in property industry, has been able to establish a more personal service and direct approach to its client base. This has been a feature of the company since inception and one we strive to maintain.

In addition to property/asset management the company also undertakes leasing, and property consultancy services. Leasing is undertaken on managed properties and on an open/joint agency basis as the priority is the maximum occupation of the portfolio.


David Wear

Leaving SHP in 1998 he established D J Wear & Associates.  Formerly with Richard Ellis in the City of London, David worked in Brisbane with Ray White/Richard Ellis in the mid 1980’s moving to Sydney NSW in 1987 with Stanton Hiller Parker (SHP- formerly Richard Stanton NSW,P/L) where he headed up the Asset Management Division for many years leaving to establish D. J. Wear & Associates in 1997. Major clients include Toga Group, Kador Group of Companies, Crown Group and private investors. 

Darren O'Bryen

Joined D. J. Wear & Associates in 1998 and manages a portfolio of industrial, commercial and retail premises for the Toga Group and private investors.

William Grunberger

Property Manager

William joined the company as property manager and has assumed management of sections of the industrial portfolio and retail assets and also assists the Asset Managers on the commercial office buildings within the CBD of Sydney. 

Peter Zarka

Building Operations Manager

Peter has a trade background specialising in commercial offices and moved into an Operations Management role where he remained for several years. Appointed to DJWA in 2016, he manages a quality portfolio of CBD and Fringe Investments. He is also responsible for maintaining the buildings’ NABERS ratings.
